Important Information:
Dressing for the Weather
- This note was included in last week’s bulletin but it is worth repeating because the weather has begun to change. Please remember that decisions about whether morning arrival and recess are inside or outside are determined utilizing district guidelines. Generally, morning arrival and recess will be outside as long as it is not raining and the temperature is not below 10 F. The school staff will monitor weather conditions and determine whether students can be outside. To inform parents and students whether morning arrival is indoors, an “Indoor Arrival” sign will be placed in a cone by the main entrance to the school. During indoor arrival days, students will come into the building through the main door at 8:45 a.m. and will wait in the hallway until classes begin. Please make sure that your child wears a jacket, hat, gloves, and snow boots.
Third Grade Celebration
- Third grade will hold its annual celebration next Tuesday, December 12 at 3:30 p.m. Third grade students and parents are invited to attend this fun event immediately after school. If you have questions about this celebration, please contact a third grade teacher.
Kindergarten/ First Grade Workshop for Parents
- Thank you to those families who attended this workshop. We have received great feedback about the information that is shared during these workshops. We will have another workshop in the future. Be on the look out for information about our next workshop. We don’t want you to miss this opportunity.
Raffles
- Once again, this year, we will give out tickets to parents who volunteer in our school, make a donation to the PTSO or our school, or who attend any activities that are organized by Plainfield. These tickets will be placed in a container and different items will be raffled throughout the year. We will raffle an iPad during our Spring Family Night. The more school events you attend, the more changes you have to win. Make sure to fill out a ticket every time you volunteer, make a donation or attend a school event. We wish you good luck!
