Student Handbook
- The district made some changes to the Student Handbook. These changes will be in effect as soon as the 2018-2019 school year begins. You will receive a summary of these changes soon. Please review them with your student.
Kindergarten Orientation
- Thank you to those parents who joined us this week for the Kindergarten Orientation. In addition to valuable information, parents also received free kits with learning materials that parents can use to help their child be prepared for kindergarten. If you did not attend but have a child who will start kindergarten next year, please contact the school office to pick-up your free kindergarten kit.
Fifth Grade Picnic and Promotion
- Please remember that fifth grade students will have a picnic this Wednesday, May 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. In addition to the picnic, the fifth grade students will also have a small celebration on Thursday, May 31 at 1:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at Plainfield. Students will be given their diplomas at this celebration. Fifth grade parents are invited to attend either or both events.
Parents Who Registered
- If you registered your student, a letter with your child’s teacher’s assignment will be mailed to you the week of June 4th. Additionally, you will also receive a letter with important information at the beginning of August. If you have not registered your child, it is not too late. Please contact the school office ASAP. Additionally, if your address changes during the summer, please contact the school office to make the change.
A Look Ahead
- This coming Monday, May 28 is Memorial Day and the school will be closed.
- Field Day is scheduled for May 31 from 9:10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. The PTSO will donate water bottles for all students. Thank you, PTSO!
- The last day of classes is Thursday, May 31st. The hours for May 31st are 9:00 to 3:15 p.m.
- Report cards and MAP reports will be distributed to students the last day of school.

Manual del Estudiante
- El distrito hizo algunos cambios al Manual del estudiante. Estos cambios entrarán en vigencia tan pronto como comience el año escolar 2018-2019. Recibirá un resumen de estos cambios pronto. Por favor revíselos con su estudiante.
Orientación de Kindergarten
- Gracias a los padres que asistieron esta semana a la Orientación de Kindergarten. Además de información valiosa, los padres también recibieron bolsas gratuitas con materiales de aprendizaje que los padres pueden usar para ayudar a su hijo a prepararse para el kínder. Si no asistió pero tiene un niño que comenzará Kindergarten el próximo año, por favor comuníquese con la oficina de la escuela para recoger su bolsa gratuita de kínder.
Picnic y Promoción de Quinto Grado
- Recuerde que los estudiantes de quinto grado tendrán un picnic este miércoles, 30 de mayo de 11:30 a.m. a 2:30 p.m. Además del picnic, los estudiantes de quinto grado también tendrán una pequeña celebración el jueves 31 de mayo a la 1:30 p.m. en la Sala de usos múltiples en Plainfield. Los estudiantes recibirán sus diplomas en esta celebración. Los padres de quinto grado están invitados a asistir a uno o ambos eventos.
Padres Que Se Registraron
- Si registró a su estudiante, se le enviará por correo la semana del 4 de junio una carta con el nombre del maestro asignado a su hijo para el siguiente año escolar. Además, también recibirá una carta con información importante a principios de agosto. Si no ha registrado a su hijo, aun no es muy tarde. Por favor, póngase en contacto con la oficina de la escuela lo antes posible. Además, si su dirección cambia durante el verano, comuníquese con la oficina de la escuela para hacer el cambio.

- Este próximo lunes 28 de mayo es el Día de los Caídos y la escuela estará cerrada.
- Field Day está programado para el 31 de mayo de 9:10 a.m. a 12:10 p.m. El PTSO donará botellas de agua para todos los estudiantes. Gracias, PTSO!
- El último día de clases es el jueves 31 de mayo. El horario para el 31 de mayo es de 9:00 a 3:15 p.m.
