Communication Survey:
- District 62 is seeking feedback from parents and community members on how you receive information and whether you consider the communication to be effective. Through the surveys, we will learn whether you prefer receiving an email, seeing a post on social media, or reading about something in the local paper. We will also find out if we are providing enough information about key topics and issues. Please access the survey on our website at http://www.d62.org/scopesurvey/ from October 2 to October 16.
Deadline for Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
- Please be aware that applications for free and reduced lunch expire on October 2. Families that were on free/reduced lunch price for the 2016-2017 school year and have not completed the application but wish to complete it must do it before the October 2 deadline. Without the approval of the new application, benefits end October 3rd.
Congratulations!
- Every student in the following classes arrived to school on time last week: Ms. Acuña, Mrs. Bell, Mrs. Blevins, Mrs. Cooper, Ms. Cummings, Mrs. Grady, Mrs. Louis, Mr. Peebles, and Mrs. Riportella. That’s five more classes than the previous week. Nice job! Let’s see if we can have even more students arrive on time to school next week. Thank you for your help in making sure that your student arrives on time.
Progress Reports and MAP reports
- Both of these reports were distributed today, Friday, September 29. Progress reports are utilized to inform parents about how your student is doing so far. The MAP assessment was administered during the first and second week of September and it helps to assess how students are doing in math and reading. Whether your student’s score is above or below grade level, we expect all students to show growth when they take the MAP winter assessment in December. This is a perfect time to get in touch with your child’s teacher and find out how you can support your student’s learning at home.
Coffee with the Principal
- You were asked for input to help us schedule the Coffee with the Principal meetings. Be on the look out for information about this event in next week’s bulletin.
Have a great weekend!

Noticias importantes
